NYE - Last Minute Destinations
13/12/2010

Buzz is getting ready for some NYE celebrations. If you are still looking for a getaway, then let Buzz suggest a few last minute New Year's Eve destinations:
New Year's Eve in Prague
Prague is a popular destination for New Year's Eve. The celebrations are enjoyed by one and all: the young and old, the quiet and romantic, the wild and carefree. There are entertainment options to suit all tastes including the ever popular Party Boat and Jazz Cruise. As midnight approaches, crowds gather around the city to watch one of several firework displays. The restaurants and river boats time their entertainment programme to coincide with this, some even supplying bottles of Champagne for diners to take with them.
New Year's Eve in London
Like everywhere else in the world, Londoners love to celebrate New Year's Eve. The big event for New Year's Eve 2010 is the free fireworks display at the London Eye on the South Bank. The display will start after Big Ben chimes midnight and will last for 10 minutes. Its popularity means it gets very crowded and it will not be possible to enter the viewing area once capacity has been reached. The best spots to watch the fireworks are from Westminster Bridge and the north embankment of the River Thames, opposite the London Eye, but they will be visible from across central London.
New Year's Eve in Rome
New Year's Eve in Rome takes place all over the city's squares, including Piazza del Popolo where celebrations include fireworks, rock and classical music concerts lasting well into the night. The next day, celebrations concentrate on children's entertainment.
